Mood Board - Creation
Hey World!
I am back and as we were taught about Mood Board, now we have to create one of our own. I have an idea of making a Mood Board so I will be following that idea.
Firstly I googled a little to find some food images and got the following images for my Mood Board. Three of them are PNG without background and two are JPEG with background.

The idea revolving in my mind was that I will overlap each picture and will fade them so that they will be merged in each other.
I started my work and opened a blank page of 500px by 500px in Photoshop. Then I added my first JPEG which is of a delicious Karahi.
Then I added the second JPEG of B.B.Q and changed its opacity in the blending options to 65%.
This is how it looks now:
Lastly I added 3 PNG images on 3 corners and also changed their opacity to 65% and was done with my Mood Board.
Here is the final output:
So now I am done with my Mood Board.
Will be back later!
Bye!

Mood Board - Introduction
Hello Everyone!
Today we were told about "Mood Board" in our class and were told about it's definition.
It is defined as an arrangement of images, materials, pieces of text, etc. intended to evoke or project a particular style or concept.
It is a type of a collage of images of same category and something like that.
As my magazine's genre is "Food" I googled some mood boards and here are some of them:

Poster Recreation - Editing (Day 2)
Hello Peeps!
Yesterday I was done with the background removal process. Today I have to create the poster and finish up the work.
I started my work by opening up a blank page in Photoshop.
Then I added the image I edited previously at the right place.
Then I added the small text at the bottom of the poster just by cropping it out from the other poster because this text was not visible and unreadable.
Then I added a suite case from the original poster because we didn't had any similar case to take picture. Then I added the rest of the text on the right places according to the real poster and was done.
The font used in the text "Tom Hanks is Forest Gump" and "July 6" is "Book Antique" and the small at the top is written with "Arial" Font.
So finally I am done with my Poster Recreation Task.
Hope you enjoyed the process.
Bye :)

Here it is:
I removed the background using "Pen Tool" in Photoshop and cropped out the shadow, my friend and the bench.
Then I added a color overlay on the shodow's layer to give it a grey color like it's in poster.
That was all what I did today and hopefully will be done tomorrow.
Thanks! :)

Poster Recreation - (Photo Shoot)
Hello!
As I mentioned in my last post, we were given a task to recreate a poster of the movie "Forest Gump".
Today we are going to have some photo shoot. "Talal" one of my group member brought is black dress for the shoot. As we can see in the poster above, the man is sitting on a bench, we found a bench to take pictures in our basketball court. We dragged the bench to take images. The photography was done by my other group member "Razim". The following images were taken first.

Images were taken from different angles but we did a mistake. The shadow was going in front of Talal, not at the back as it's on the back in poster so we had to retake pictures by changing the direction of bench. We took the following pictures later.

I think one of these 2 images will help me out to create the poster.
That is all we did today. :)

Photoshop (Pen Tool) - Process
Hello Reader!
Yesterday we were introduced to "Adobe Photoshop" by our teacher and the tool we are going to use is "Pen Tool" which will be used to remove the background of the image.
I selected a picture of "Paul Walker" to remove the background. You can see the picture and the "Pen Tool" Mentioned in the image below.
I will be starting the process from the legs. This tool is very similar to the "Illustrator's Pen Tool".
I just zoomed in the image by clicking "CTRL" and "+".
Firstly I clicked on the "Anchor 1" as mentioned in image below. It will be the starting point. Then we have to click at some place to draw another anchor point which is "Anchor 2" in the image. If we have to make a curved line we need to stretch Anchor 2 while the first click, which will make another point called "Handle". We can move handle with out leaving the button of the mouse to make the curve according to our need.
Note: Whenever we make handle to draw curve, after that we have to select the previous anchor point again by clicking "Alt" plus the anchor point to make a new line from that anchor point.
I just made the selection path by repeating the same process as you can see a thing line around Paul Walker in the image below.

Now I have to click on the "Paths" tab beside "Layers" and "Channels" tab.
Then we have to select the path. In my case there is only one path drawn showing in this tab. Then we have to click "Load Path As A Selection" the third small dotted icon in the bottom of this tab.
Clicking that icon makes dotted line around the picture where the path was drawn. Then we have to click "Ctrl" + "Shift" + I to inverse the selection which will make path all around the picture.
Now it's the time to remove the background. I just need to click "Ctrl" + X to remove the background.
Now I can add up my own background. I tried adding up one and also increased the size of Paul Walker. Here it is:
Finally I learned how to remove background on an image. It would help me a lot further when I will need to use this in my magazine process.
Thanks for reading and hope you like it.

Adobe Photoshop (Pen Tool) Introduction
Last week I was done with my Logo and Genre.
This week there is something new to learn. We were introduced to a new software "Adobe Photoshop" an image editor. I have heard many thing previously on internet and social media related to this software and have a little experience of it.
The tool in this software we were demonstrated about was "Pen Tool". This "Pen Tool" is very different from the "Pen Tool" in "Adobe Illustrator".
The Purpose of this "Pen Tool" in "Adobe Photoshop" is basically to make the free hand selection of anything to remove the background. In short it will be used to remove backgrounds.
On the projector screen we were given a tutorial by our teacher on how to remove a background of any image using this tool. This was all we did today. Tomorrow we will try to use this tool on our own by removing background of some image.
See you in the next post.
Bye :)

Illustration (Pen Tool) - Process
Hello Reader! As we were introduced to the Adobe Illustrator yesterday and were given a tutorial by our teacher on how to make an Illustration in it, now we have to make our own illustration.
Firstly I choose a high quality photo of my favorite actor "Paul Walker" which is displayed beside.
Now I need to start the work. Here is Pen Tool mentioned in the following shot which will be used throughout.
I will be illustrating hair first.
We have to click on the Pen Tool to select it as mentioned in the images above.
Now the process is going to start.
I just zoomed in the image by clicking "CTRL" and "+".
Firstly I clicked on the "Anchor 1" as mentioned in image below. It will be the starting point of the illustration of hair. Then we have to click at some place to draw another anchor point which is "Anchor 2" in the image. If we have to make a curved line we need to stretch Anchor 2 while the first click, which will make another point called "Handle". We can move handle with out leaving the button of the mouse to make the curve according to our need.

Note: Whenever we make handle to draw curve, after that we have to select the previous anchor point again to make a new line from that anchor point.
By repeating the same method I illustrated hair in the image below where you can see different anchor points around hair.
I filled up the hair by using fill tool circled on the left side.
Now I made the whole mouth, neck and ear, all with different shades of color. You can see anchors of each shade.
Now I just hided the layers illustrated yesterday from the layer panel on the right so that I can illustrate other facial parts.
Firstly I illustrated eye ball, eye brows and all the detailed wrinkles around the eyes.
Then I tried to make lips and added a little more details to the lips with an outline which makes them more prominent. Then I made the shadow under nose and made an outline of nose.
After this I made the visible ear on the right side of image. I made its different shades and effects to give it a real feel. 5 different layers were made for each shade.
Finally I added the beard firstly by adding a different color of skin tone on the beard area and then made dots all over the beard. Then I made the previous layers visible to see how it looks.

Finally I added the beard firstly by adding a different color of skin tone on the beard area and then made dots all over the beard. Then I made the previous layers visible to see how it looks.
I showed it to my teacher and was suggested to add some perks to make it more professional and good looking. She teacher suggested me to add the light effects, type of flashes on the face, eyes and nose. Further she suggested me to add more shades to the hair so I did.
Finally today I am done with my illustration work with a great illustration of Paul Walker with the help of my teacher.
Hope you like my illustration.
Thanks!
